Round one will be single play, not unlimited - 18 holes stroke play.

18 hole ranked round @ St. Andrews

Round two will be single play, not unlimited - 18 holes stroke play.
64 players will then go into a matchplay bracket to determine a winner.
Round one will begin with 18 holes stroke play at St. Andrews.
Is this the basic format ? Solo rounds . How do you want scores reported ?
The reason for using ranked rounds was to encourage people to get together and play in groups of 2,3 or 4 (and maybe make some new friends) but still allowing for those who may have to play solo.
I know I want to play with other folk so we can chat about 'Andy' and remember his wit and wisdom, which is the whole point of this event.
There will be a seperate thread for Round 1 to arrange groups, post results etc.
I would like those that can post scorecards to do so for their group (or their own card if playing solo) but just posting the numbers in the the thread will be OK.
There will be an eventual winner, who will receive a trophy but the real purpose of all of this is to honour and remember our friend who brought so much to all of us.
