Hi guys. I'm becoming increasingly angered by this situation, and am asking for advice. Here is the situation. On St Andrews holes, when you manage to land yourself in a sand bunker hard up against a wall.....how the heck do you get out? I've gotten to the stage several times recently when i've just had to close the window and walk away from the game due to mounting frustration. It seems to me that it's almost impossible to get out of the bunker.

Assume you are using your lofting wedge, dinging it, and still not able to get out?

I've have to go out sideways several times.

Definitely sideways. Make sure you re-aim and use a lofted wedge. Backwards works too. You can use the reverse green view camera, if available, to help the aim.

This isn't automatic when you find yourself in a trap. Sometimes you're OK to go straight. The key is the loft of the club you're trying to get out with and how close you are to the wall. But when you're jammed up tight you have no other choice.
