    renniw52:

Barbra was always one of my favorites. Check out her song Evergreen. Guess I am an old fart. She wasn't the most gorgeous woman but damn does she have a voice. Patsy Cline was not a pin up either but she could make me wish she was.

I have several songs from Patsy Cline on my playlist but none from Barbra ... I will correct that omission.

    Tributes:

Ella Fitzgerald ... what a great Jazz vocalist.  13 Grammy awards ... a true Jazz Legend. This song is one of my favorites ... with the great horn accompaniment of Satchmo and vocal accompaniment of Pops!  It's considered by many to be the best rendition of this song (me included):

And now for a little blues ... Albert King (Nelson) ... known to many as "the Velvet Bulldozer".  Albert King influenced many great guitarist (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Walsh, Eric Clapton) and one of the "Three Kings of Blues Guitar".

Enoy this "In Session" clip with SRV ...

    Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
