HELP:!!! Pulling my hair out here!

  I'm losing so many strokes around the greens when I end up in the long grass. If your close I can't figure out how to play it. You can't "chip" it doesn't go anywhere, you can't "pitch" either. If you "flop" or hit a "full" swing you obviously go way to far. I lose 2 and sometimes 3 shots because I mess up this short shot. I would appreciate any help you can suggest.

  Tracy-The Chip and Pitch Tips in the FAQs was written by a long time player here. It's the best way to start. After that you will see what you can and can't do. Basically, if chipping, the first bounce needs to be on the green. Don't use partial shots here-75% or more. Flops will always go right-this is the nature of that shot so aim left. Pitches run out at the end so chose a club that goes less than what you want or use a partial swing.
