Since both players were tied, 2nd & 3rd place money will be pooled and split evenly. The same deal goes for you and the other players tied for 4th ... pool the prize money for 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th place, and that gets split 4 ways. That's how payouts go in any tournament, on WGT and on the PGA Tour.
The only way to determine a clear-cut 2nd/3rd place... or 4th-7th place finisher would be through a tie-breaker ... but that is only in place in the case of tied scores for the lead ( there can be only 1 winner). Read through the tournament rules, it's spelled out pretty clear ... too bad so many ( including myself) fail to read them until after the fact.
