    Hi All

Quick Noob question on meter speed when choosing a new club

The beginner putter indicates the meter speed near to 0 dregres

The Ping IwI Anser (600 Credits) Putter indicates the meter speed at 45 dregres

    Bascially my question is

The more the swing meter goes to the right, (towards 180 dergres)

Does that mean that when trying to putt the sing meter slows down or speeds up?

    Hi vacant,

Meter speed is expressed on a 0 to 10 scale.  The more dark blue you see in the meter graphics in the Pro Shop the faster the swing speed is.  If the speed arrow is pointing at the top of the screen, that would be considered the middle position or swing speed 5.  If there is no blue in the graphic and the arrow is pointing left, it's a 0, and if there's full blue on the graphic with the arrow pointing right that would be the fastest speed possible.

So the more towards 10 (right) the fastest the swing meter moves,

so in theory making it harder to stop

If that's the case why buy better clubs especially a putter
If the beginner putter has the slowest swing meter speed?

It is due to the precision rating. The starter putter wont always send the ball in exactly the direction you want it to but the more expensive ones will, making putting much easier.
