  Nice try James, unlucky -  there is no 3rd place play off this time.

  There may well be an incentive for those still in the league table to post a prediction for the final match though... tum te tum te tum.

  To those in the running for the top spots:

  I was going to ask those with any chance of finishing in the top 3 to bud me and send me a pm with their final game predictions. I won't be - what I will be doing though is allowing predictions to be changed right up to when I post the 'NO MORE PREDICTIONS' warning - ANY changes after that will be disregarded as I will have already collected everyone's  forecasts by that point - LATE POSTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

  Delighted that mathematically the event has gone to the last match - it's been fun - let's see it continue in the same manner.

  I'm glad Italy made the final because we all get another chance to see the real superstar in this championship performing again.

  Pirlo of Italy was absolutely brilliant from the start  of the tournament and he is only getting better, if that is possible, as the games go on.

  For that reason I'm going with Italy in the final,  how can you lose with such a magnficent player directing the play like he has. Yes I do know Spain's record LOL.

  Well done Johnny for doing this sweep and I hope the Missus gets better real soon, you are a trooper.

  John, this was a great competition you held, and you must have put some amount of hours and work into it. Hope all is well with the Mrs Wiger mate. Did up a little pic in the way of thanks for doing this, and no, its not a bribe, lol. Cheers Mate for all you did.
