On Friday the 11th of November at 11am "BST" I will be launching a competition at the "BLUE TROUT CC". It will be called "LEST WE FORGET".

It will be a tribute to every single serviceman/woman that paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. It is intended for remembrance of all nations of the world.

It will be an "OPEN" competition and not just for members of the Blue Trout cc.

It is free to enter and for fun only, there are no prizes.

It would be very satisfying to see as many of you entered the competition.

    Email me at bluetroutcc@gmail.com

To visit the Blue Trout Web Site you can do so at http://www.troutfisheryreview.com/bluetrout

    Thank you for your time.

    Paul Lowery.

I'm interested, but there's still questions left unanswered:

Will it be played in pairs, then the scorecards posted here?

Otherwise, how will it be played?

    What are the courses/settings?

The clocks go backwards 1 hour on Sunday, so shouldn't it be 11am GMT?

Could we set up a prize pool? I could put forward a few credits.

Where and how do I sign up?

Having just lost my Granddad, who was a FEPOW, I would very much like to join in.

    Thanks

Being a Vietnam Vet who lost two uncles to WWII and Korea, I would be more than happy to support your tournament.

This is a great thing!.   I more than likely will not be available to participate.

I served US Army for 8 years, and would like to offer a sleeve of Callys to the winner, or if the winner doesn't prefer the Callys,  Let me know their choice.

    Happy hitting

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I've decided that the comp will last a full week and,not just for that particular day.

It will start  at 11am GMT not BST as I first stated (that was a mistake on my part)

It will be a closest to the hole comp.

The course will be the front nine at St Andrews.

    The conditions will be RANDOM.

    There is NO entrance fee.

There are definitely no prizes to be had,it's for fun only.

Someone asked could they send me donations for the UK poppy appeal...DEFINITELY NOT  I'm sorry but I can't be responsible for anything like that.If you are outside the UK then,I'm sure there must be some organisation you can donate to. What I intended to do was make my usual contribution towards the poppy appeal and make it from all of us that enter the comp.

I hope this has cleared things up guys/gals

Any further questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Paul.

If you forget to move your clocks back 1 hour you will be an hour early for anything like church you may attend. If you move those same clocks forward you will be late for everything!

    Sir Lowery:

WOW - what a super idea - I am not a veteran but have worked as a physical therapist in my local VA - and what a blessing to serve the servicemen and women - I just think your tourny idea is the bee's knees !!
