Looks like you just tiered up to Tour Pro from Pro, where maybe your average was 71.9. All counters are reset when you tier up, therefore a 40 and a 42 over 9 holes equates to 80 and 84, because all averages are calculated on an 18 hole basis. In this way, the average between your two scores at the new Tour Pro tier would be 82.
You now have a number of games ahead of you where every recorded stroke play score counts towards your average. Once you achieve that specific number of games, your average will stabilise and start to come down only when you score below your current(at that time) score.
