Single player practice rounds and CTTH (Closest to the hole) games really help with the learning curve. When you feel up to it, a multiplayer game with folks who don't mind helping, is a really good step.
And, contrary to popular belief, most pros and masters dont mind playing with someone who asks a lot of questions... it shows they are trying to learn and get better.
Also, questions to the forums get answered, too... just make sure to see if someone else asked it already with the search box over there ---->
