  I was elevated to Master after shooting a 4 under on the 9 hole Unlimited and my av. score became 66.9. I played one further 9 hole and shot par and my average score jumped to 72....what happened? My previous few scores were no worse than +1 and most were under.

  When you change levels your average resets. Your first round in the new tier determines your new average

  Your first round as a master was a 36 (you were playing in a tourney that you had already entered so it stayed as 'tour pro') hence the 72 average.

  Thanks for that....maybe I should have blown off that round until I hit something a bit better.
