    Dear WGT design team:

While the Shot Pal toggle button seems handy enough for players who use either shot or putter pal, it is placed in a very distracting place.  The left side of the meter is the “business end” where this button overlapping the meter and visually interfering with shots significantly diminishes the quality and enjoyment of game play.

Just from a design perspective, cramming it in like that has a very poor aesthetic in a game that usually has a very high standard for aesthetics.

Here are a couple suggestions to improve the situation.

Move the button.  The “business end” of the meter should be unencumbered and free from visual distractions.

The best place for it would be in the club selection menu, next to “putter” and below the 8 and 9 iron.  This way players can toggle it easily and it would not be a visual distraction for anyone.

If it has to be on the main view window please move it to the right of the meter. Making it smaller and vertical would allow it to fit between the meter and the golf ball.

Also if it must be on the main page, and especially if it is not moved to an unoffending location, please make it such that it is only present IF shot pal or putter pal are selected on in game options.

Those of us who do not use these fine products would appreciate it.

    TD

    Agree.

As already wrote in the "downtime thread" is useless get a quick selection button (placed over the meter) if this two pals can be choice from the gameclient option. If it will be part of the game in the main view shouldn't be place in point that could take "distraction".Think about a golfer swing with his caddie embraced to him.

I would like to use but stay away from my swing.

    David.

"The “business end” of the meter should be unencumbered and free from visual distractions."

Don't these un-needed buttons, etc have an impact on the meter smoothness? #1 priority should be a stable meter. We are not children that enjoy new bells, keep it simple.

Very harsh guys.  They worked so hard, and were exhausted after meeting the deadline.

While I do like the idea of a toggle on/off button for both the Shot Pal & Putter Pal Bars, the button size just introduced is rather large and indeed somewhat distracting.  May I suggest that it be downsized to a small square or circular button.  Say green for when activated and gray for when a player decides to disable it.  Just an idea, but doing this change would certainly eliminate most of the complaints.

So you admit it's distracting but refuse to get rid of it. LMAO

    Hi Admin,

How about getting initial feedback on a update before making it public. This way WGT on a whole doesn't have to take one on the chin after every unfavorable update.

Even if players contact WGT outside the forums with feedback on an update, the number of people giving feedback on a particular update should be shared.

Here's a good post from a fellow WGT player that would help WGTs Public Relations when rolling out a new update.
