Had a tail wind of 17 mph DINGED it in the fairway never touched the rough Tour S/D balls and it ONLY went 300 yards and a pro tier level player he had a Ping V2 and he hit 300 as well.  Anyone else?

    Hi dciman,

It's likely you just caught an uphill section of the fairway or some kind of hill on your first bounce.  That tends to cause the ball to bounce hard and more up than out.  A few hills on St. Andrews will completely kill the momentum on the first bounce and it'll just stick where it landed.

This is exactly why the new R9 is killer- The accuracy lets you pick the landing spot and hit it!  Aiming in reverse view is most important because you see detail that isn't viewable in the mini view. The wind direction is accurate from this view also as it changes accordingly with the cameras.
