    It would be very helpful if we were told the green speeds prior to teeing off in the coin rooms. It definitely affects the way you approach the greens. I managed two high end courses in NJ and we always posted daily green speeds and pin placements and had the starter apprise the players as well before they teed off.

    If you're playing a 1 hole coin room game or the 1st hole of a multiple hole coin room game it helps to know if it's Tournament or slow speed especially if you're chipping to the cup so you don't come up way short or blow it past the cup for a 25 ft return putt.

    You can see the green speed beforehand only if your opponent gets there first.
