  Actually played several holes pretty well, made an Eagle and several birdies, which I felt guilty about, and would almost immediately squander with nasty downhill and side breaking bogey putts.  Salvaged a 2 under 68 and am glad to be done with it.

  I really don't want to post this, but I guess I must.  If there is a course I hate worse then Oakmont, it is Merion.

  A lovely 80 for this week.  With my inability to hit consistent on one side of the ding or the other, it is tough to score well.  Doesn't help when you move for a wind and it never shows up, so had a number of second shots played from off of the fairway in rough, or from sand.
