    Ducati916:

Stop by and see the original WGT course...Bali Hai....right off the strip....

Duc.  We are in Vegas now.  I didn't go to the Bali Hai yet, but we went through the MGM Grand and followed the signs to TOPGOLF.  The MGM Grand must own TOPGOLF since the signs are all over MGM.   After walking a mile through MGM Grand corridors, walkways, and casinos, we ended up at the TOPGOLF building.  Its truly an amazing place.   Its basically a driving range where you can hit the ball from any of 3 levels.   For anyone that doesn't know, TOPGOLF bought WGT a few years ago.    You can go to the TOPGOLF website to see photos of it.

One of the zaniest ad campaigns by the Tropicana is back by popular demand to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Quarter.

In 2010, reflecting on the idea of a chicken playing tic-tac-toe, allowing players the chance to win $10,000 if they won, Tropicana executives said it was likely never to come back.

The crazy promotion was created under former president, Dennis Gomes, in 2001.

    The chicken almost always won.

"It was an absolutely great promotion at that time. Not that we're not searching for a new chicken-like promotion, but I don't think we're looking to bring them back. But I don't want to say never," Mary Tindall, vice president of marketing at Tropicana in 2010 told The Press.

And the enthusiasm from more than 10 years ago still exists among the casino officials.

I will have to walk into the Tropicana tomorrow and see if I can find the chicken game.   We are staying just down the block from the Tropicana and walk by it all the time.

Today we went to the Fremont Experience on Fremont Street.  WOW, that was great!  It was the highlight of our stay in Vegas.

Sadly we are starting to head home tomorrow.   It will take us 3 days to get home.   Hopefully the weather back home will change in the next 3 days - I hear that a major blizzard hit western Canada today.   Lots of snow, # 1 Highway closed in some areas, high winds and COLD!

Pssst.....  My advice is to stay put Henry, or turn around and go back to Mesa for a week. The weather in S Manitoba is the chitzz with high winds and snow + near zero visibility and -25c with windchill. All schools and highways were closed here today. The forecast is for +25c though......On June 10/17.

    • Tonight

Yup...schools closed and daughter sent home from work before highways became impossible. Can someone explain to me why US immigrants are heading to Canada vice Mexico?...to hell with the wall.
