Check your e-mail settings in your account. There's some tabs to select mails OFF.
Furthermore, there have been long-time issues which I experienced from my day one.
Solved them by changing between two of my own mail addresses several times until it came to work. Now I receive some mails in doubles, but that's better than receiving none.
