Latest Feature Requests - Proposal for WGTIcon and WGT

  In light of what most of the community consider poor communication (and was acknowledged by WGTPizza in the forums - whether that was a WGT or personal view)between WGT and the players I have the following proposal.

  I have seen great product suggestions from players but we never know whether these ideas are forwarded to be considered or just stay as empty words on a forgotton forum page.

  Would it be possible to update the player suggestion list (please read before posting - albeit not done by many!) to have the following, This should be done on a regular basis.

  • Items Requested and under consideration
  • Items Agreed to be implemented, with approximate timeframe and/or priority
  • Rejected requests and a brief reason

  I think if this type of format could be updated regularly it would stop some duplication in the posts, and keep players informed. Currently we only have a list of requests and what has been implemented, but many players (like myself) feel that requests are not heard or considered and would at least give some transparency between WGT and the forum. Currently the only time the community hears news is after an update or the odd Twitch Chat (and as one poster put it, he looked like a deer in headlights) with Chad. Communication is the one area that lets WGT down - the product is excellent so just brandishing a thought that you could consider or forward to the right person.

  Obviously this would require a WGT employees  time to compile and post and I realize that Icon must be busy as you are the sole moderator currently.

  A response would be appreciated whether this is feasible (all three points) and if not, why not.

  More detailed ratings on the proshop pages to describe equipment
  Indicate in the lobby when a player is blocked by you

  Callaway Clubs and Other Brands
  VEM to be turned down
  Drop zones to be improved
  More courses for Stroke Play
  Increased prizes for tournaments – prizes have not risen but equipment has
  Bulk buying discounts
  Award/reward system to be revamped to something meaningful and better rewards
  Loyalty program
  Direct link for reporting Multi-account holders or inappropriate profile names/pictures
  Option to Disable the Auto Caddy
  Sponsored Golf Balls from major companies (i.e. advertising their product) resulting in better pricing
  Better Free balls with some attributes
  Ability to change music - perhaps a selection of 6 or so
  Ability to send Multiple messages to friends and multiple message deletion
  Block Player function to include forums and any game you join
  Ability to copy and Paste from Chat Boxes
  Ability to change from Yards to Metres
  Forum Moderators to have the ability to merge or move threads and delete off topic subjects
  Regularly updated FAQ section  with clear cache etc info – currently outdated
  Show on players profiles to whom gifts are sent to
  Mix and Match Avatar Selection at an affordable price
  Delete all accounts from a player who has been confirmed as a Multi-account holder
  Allow Status to be customized i.e. At Work/BRB
  Missed Invites Log
  Rental on clubs to get deducted from purchase price is bought before rental expires
  Option to extend time with disconnects in multi-player games or drop game on disconnect
  Add a shopping cart to pro shop
  Smoother Swing Meter
  Allow to swap a ball to another in the bag if last ball lost
  Indicate blocked players in lobby
  Other Sound Effects – like wildlife and animations
  Multi Player Tournament Rounds incl 4 rounds

  Creating country club Tournaments with incentives provided from within the Club Community - Integration of resources
  Enhancements to owners tools in respect of CC invitations/ promotion & selection criteria.
  Ability to enable Club 'co-owners/ lieutenants' with optional club privileges allowing help for the Owner
  Improved CC forum 'admin tools'.
  Increased level of Owners & Members options.
  Owners ability to delete/ edit content from within the Club environs.
  Some improvements to forum formatting options - to increase ease of use for all members including owners ability to merge threads
  CC Menu options within a members Profile page
  The leader board in credit matches should not be shown as in the Ready Go's
  A single play CTTH cc play.
  The ability to play club tournaments as a group, even perhaps AS
  Lounge / chat room / meeting area. for CC’s – Lobby to organize games
  The ability to customize your own CC picture, and place it in the area where folks check out the CC's.
  The ability to determine what clubs are used in a CC Tourney i.e. eligibility for the competitions criteria

  If you compile a list, I will comment where I can. I know that we will not be able to comment on #2 at all but I can comment whether I passed it on on if it's something we won't consider anytime soon.

  Thanks for the prompt answer Icon.

  I will be happy to compile a list to the best of my ability, anyone with suggestions please leave them briefly in this thread.

  I do not understand why #2 (from the original post) cannot be commented on however. I expect and understand that WGT do not want to compromise any proprietary information but keeping the players in the dark for upcoming releases is poor.  I have found players look forward to items they may want, only to be very disheartened after the update.

  So after I complie of list you are saying you may or may not be able to comment on

  • Items Requested and under consideration
  • Rejected requests and a brief reason

  And items that WGT have agreed for implementation will not be discussed

  That leaves a big gray area and  the assumption would be if a suggestion is not in items 1 or 2 above it has been agreed and will be implemented in the future. which could lead to dissapointment. I agree that WGT or any company should make promises that can not be delivered but this would appear to me that WGT are not sure what, when or if they can deliver.

  Even if items agreed to and will be implemented is listed with no time frames attached would be great to see.

  At least if the items in this list are each 'marked' with an 'answer' or 'cannot answer' we will finally feel that our suggestions / requests HAVE actually been seen.

  Thanks Shrude, I know and have seem great ideas re CC's from you - great from that perspective I have started the list anyone with ideas to add please add a comment or wall post me.

  A note for Icon, this is not the completed list so give me a week to finalize. Obviously I know some items will be a no and excluded things like cheaper balls as I know WGT will not comment on pricing. At work at the moment (limited time) so could not scour the forums as well as I would like and know I have missed a lot, but it is a starting point.

  Excellent start there alanti.

  If we can keep this thread concise and On Topic (OT), ICON replies to each point, when he can, no doubt Alanti will update/ edit this list.
  A great avenue for feedback.

  However, If ICON comes back to us here and says 'xyz suggestion' wont be implemented, this shouldn't be a platform for arguing the why's and whatfor's.
  In that vein, ICON, if you can at all, please provide a reasoning as to why a particular idea cannot be implemented.

  PM sent alanti, with some other ideas for possible inclusion.

  I even suggested around Christmas time that we could have sponsorship golf balls from other companies and country clubs. And that they could be less expensive for having their advertisement logo on them. It would even be beneficial for WGT if they get their percentage of the purchases. Here are some that could be implemented between the WGT balls & name brands.

  Wilson Titanium

  Taylor Made Penta

  Titleist  NXT

  Top Flight XL

  Not to mention golf balls with logos from  various real country clubs on here.

  Also making the free WGT ball with some attributes instead of none.

  Like 1/2 dot of feel and back spin for more precision & to get new players accustomed with these types of balls later on as their skills improve.

  • the ability to play club tournaments as a group, even perhaps AS. 

  I'm sure there will be lots of other replies.

  Country Club Option

  • Lounge / chat room / meeting area.  So matches can be organised before invites are sent. The way it stands now one person might always invite for Bethpage Black for example. :) (this may not be useful to smaller clubs but it would be good for the larger ones.
  • Voice room :- where newer players can be talked through any issues they are having with the game, or indeed just meet other members of the club.
