    senec:
,decided to sell all my equipment, sent golf balls to friends

I feel you Senec, about to do the same. I play one hole a day just for the XP, few more days for the next level. If not fixed, I'll take a long hiatus.

Cheers, maybe see you in 2026....

A day later... saw a mention about turning off 'shadows' in settings... seemed to help a little, sometimes. but putting speed seems off, slower than usual, ball stops short often.

Also distances seem to be affected also, a half a club shorter. Lost a good ball that should have gone 10 yeards past.

Still screwed up. It might help if we could turn avatar animations OFF.

everyone talks about game image improvements, but my game (Macbook Pro M2) looks exactly the same as it has for the last 7 years.

    WGTNico:
for those asking about issues with their meter. We've been investigating the uptick in issues since 182 released

Anything new to report other than 'older' machines?

    Still having issues with meter

Very frustrating as I have tried everything suggested on my end

    Next update?

I am a PC user and I rarely have any type of issue with this game. Because I am on vacation , the last 2 days I have played a quick ctth on my tablet to keep my cdp alive and I am experiencing the jittery meter. Now this could be because I am out in the middle of the ocean, I don't know, like I said before I am a PC player. Be glad when all these issues are fixed, it makes me nervous to think where this game is heading.......to the garbage.

It's truly tragic to witness the game turning into a wet firecracker. Especially for someone like me who has spent almost 20% of my life learning and playing it, and considers it, in some ways, "the game of my life", it's all the more heartbreaking really! 😔

The game is a diamond in the rough that was never properly polished.

Here we are a month later, same meter issues. Bought a new sleeve and the first shot I took, right in the water as the meter decided to jump an inch. Sad, $1,000's of dollars later on balls and they cant adjust a thing. So it seems all of us with windows 10 or older OS's have to buy new PC's to play. 10 years of glitches that rarely get fixed but we have new avatars that look like their on drugs and animation that looks like it came from 90's. We used to get free balls (not great attributes) but were good enough to practice with. Now we get stupid effects that do nothing and cost WGT nothing.

5 weeks ago meter was fine. It is realy bad now. Suppose seriuos programming problem. Think wgt programmers cant fix it properly.

Restore it to 181 version and ev1 will be happy. Or even give us an option to Turn off avatar animation.

With all the issues reported regarding the meter, I would like to a little helpful tip, I think...

I am not sure if I read this somewhere or discovered on my own but to those having issues try the following...

Whenever possible, choose a camera view other than the one that includes your avatar. For example when on the tee, choose camera 2 to adjust your shot. DO NOT return to tee view. My meter seems to work fine whenever the avatar is NOT visible.

This method cannot work once on the green due to the fact the avatar is always visible. Cannot make a 3 foot putt to save my life with the crappy meter. LOL

Hope this helps... even if only one person

    Don

PS: Hope my post makes sense LOL
