Appreciate that others want to play, however whenever the "chime" for invites rings, it messes with the swing meter, causing pauses and jumps. Any way to deactivate/not allow any invites ?

Hi VAbeach, in the Friends module, set "Available to:" to "No one" and that should solve your problem.

I see... you're receiving Friend invites, not game invites while in the game. Unfortunately there isn't a way to turn those off at the moment. Are you getting these invites all the time, or is it something you can mitigate by allowing the swing meter to swing through without hitting so the stuttering doesn't ruin the shot?

Can anyone tell me how you reach amateur status?

Actually not friend invites, but game invites. It is difficult to anticipate the "chimes" when in the critical part of the swing, so no, that is not practical. One bad swing can and does ruin a round.

The magic number is 69.0. you will have to shoot 34 or better consistantly

Thanks for the suggestion VAbeach. We'll take this back to the team for discussion.
