I dont think the rankings are working yet although mind is close. You can improve your stroke average by playing ranked rounds. At a lower score ..of course

Your Average Score is the weighted average of your ten best out of your last fourteen stroke play scores (Practice rounds are not included). Everyone starts off with an average score of 150.

But are the rankings working now and how do they work? I have an Avg. of 69.54 in the Hack Tier but i don't see myself in the rankings.

    Thanks

Yes, the averaging works fine.  I'm betting the reason you don't see yourself is due to the fact that the Top 10 rankings on the home page are probably only compiled once a day, perhaps once every 12 hours.  However, player's averages will still change in real-time as they complete their rounds.

That's why you see the rankings that don't appear to be ranked properly.  If you looked at that list the instant after it was compiled, then it would be in perfect order.

     Make sense?

That would make sense, but what are the rankings based on? obviously not on the Avgs. as there are players with lower Avg.s than others but that are ranked lower in the rankings.

If you are referring to the Top 10 on home page, they are ranked by averages.  But like I mentioned, everybody is playing so scores are constantly changing every minute.  The actual rankings aren't updated until later though.  So you'll see someone who was ranked #5 with a 69.0 avg the instant the list was compiled (let's say midnight) who plays 2 bad rounds and now their 69.0 avg changes to 70.0 (I'm using arbitrary numbers here).

Since rankings aren't updated until the next midnight,  even though 70.0 is no longer a top 10 average, you're still ranked by the 69.0 you had when the stats were compiled at midnight.

Perhaps I'm mis-understanding what you're asking.  Does that help clear it up any better?

Currently, the leaderboard on the homepage is based on rank points, which is the same measurement that determines your tier. However, it should be based on average score, so it is on our list of tasks.

Rank points eh?  I'm just curious, if you're allowed to divulge.  How is that seperately calculated from scoring average?
