It has been said MANY times . It has been implied MANY more .
No, it actually hasn't Paul- Not by me, not in this conversation or any other.
But it has . And I carefully did not say that you had said it .
PureGro1:
pdb1:For you to presume to know the many thousands round history of any player is ridiculous . And weird . I don't think your findings are accurate .
You are a grade A ______ if that is what you take from what I said...
Okay . Then what did you mean ?
PureGro1:Where was that point again?
PureGro1:
If a good player used red tees to move quicker than another player, who cares?
Exactly my point .
PureGro1:If your contention is a bad player who uses red tees to make a higher rank is just as good a player as anyone else...I am not sure how to respond to that.
Nope . In other posts I have only mentioned that I persoinally have observed and known C & TC players that have been Red Tee assisted . That have maintained overall high level game play in all areas . Those are the only Red Tee acssociated players that I know . I based my statements on those observations . I cannot comment about " a bad player who used red tees " . As I do not know them personally .
PureGro1:Im not talking about drives dude- talking about long irons and 3wds onto the greens- Neither gets used or practiced on red tees-
This is news to me .
PureGro1:You are defending the idea that someone can JUST play short tee's using a driver and wedge 90% of the time and then play a normal length course without suffering from never hitting an iron or 3wd onto the greens...That is delusional.
Lol . Of course I would not be defending that .Mostly because I would not exclude the use of all equipment .And the notion that this is occurring 90% of the time is quite funny .
You seem to be suggesting that by virtue of playing red tees . A player gives up the versatility of all the equipment choices . That does not seem accurate to me .
That may be the way you see that option . That is fine . There may be 18 ways to look at it . All 18 would be correct .
I am certainly no Red Tee expert . Have played only a few Red Tee rounds in 10 years .
I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt . Or even defend . Rather than degrade and insult .
Please note that I am not insinuating or suggesting that you are any type of way .
PureGro1: the idea that someone can JUST
play short tee's using a driver and wedge 90% of the time and then play a
normal length course without suffering from never hitting an iron or
3wd onto the greens...
If that were the case , that view would be quite the extreme . I am of the viewpoint that in general a GR8 majority of high level players that have used Red Tees in their ascent . Did so on a moderate to minimal basis . With a majority of their rounds ( throughout their WGT journey ) . Still being full courses , holes . Using the Red Tees during a small portion of his or her career . Still playing mostly long tees on a regular basis . The same as everyone else .
I was not aware that Red Tees could be an exclusive format by choice . Being 90% of their game play . In that unlikely case . That could obviously be very detrimental to ones game .
