The swear filter

  What's going on with the swear filter? Yesterday I tried to write "miss hit the mouse button" twice, and twice it came out as ****** in the chat. Also, why can't we say "hell"? I wanted to type "hell of a shot" to someone and I couldn't. I understand the need for a swear filter, but blocking the word hell? Really?

  It is in need of attention. Right behind 500 other little things. Sometimes poorly censored chat can be interpreted wrong and look like an insult in the context of a remark.  

  Would be nice to be able to turn on/off chat filter in settings. Off by default and if one is easily offended, toggle it on... or vice versa.

  +1 on that

  I think this is yet another situation where WGT tried to "improve" something but ended up making it worse.  Maybe they should hire some competent QA people to test these things before they release them.

  A filter we can turn on or off would work for me. Good idea.

  It is ridiculous at this point....I sometimes forget which words are okay.

   

  Last night coin game--

  Opponent: "Hey GL, How are you tonight?"

  Me: "Hey thx, HF and Pw! Just enjoying a cookie" which Filtered to "********"

  Opponent: F u too pal

  Me: "Sorry, just tried to say cookie" Which Filtered to "********"

  Me: C o o k i e 

  Opponent: Nothing but SILENCE

  No response, Im sure he closed chat and all i could do was SMH...

  And if you said "just enjoying some nookie" it probably would have went through just fine.  :-)

  So cookie is a no-no, but we can say FFS. It just makes no sense.
