Clash #145: I foresee lotsa fun!

  Fun if your club gets the Best of Par 5’s anyway, like our first two rounds.  VF greens and low wind.

  What else awaits us?  What does your crystal ball show?  (or actual experience)

  Oakmont B9 and Chambers Bay B9 , Moderate winds and very fast (10) greens make for a nice , casual Clashing experience so far :-)

  I have gazed into the ball, and I think I see B9 of Chambers Bay and one of the 9’s of Oakmont.

  Our first 2 were both B9 Oakmont and our 3rd is on the best of par 5

  5’s are indeed a feast, but I can wolf down pretty well at WC, too!

  One issue for BOP5 in clash is it favors whoever gets it more since scoring is so high on it. Im guessing that EGC has had BOP and Wolf more than not and TPB has had Oakmont and Chambers more. Doesnt make for a fair competition between those clubs.

  100% agreed, i think its time for WGT to make something new in the CLASH EVENT, the fair thing would be to give the same courses to all the clubs, just like in showdown where all the competitors play the same holes.

  If everybody play the same courses, the same number of time we could see that the winner is the best, right now it depends on how lucky you are, to have the easiest course to score.

  Its a lottery not a fair competition.

  WGT you need to think of it, for the pleasure of all.

  In our country club we have played Chambers 4 times in a row its really annoying and difficult to score as much as BOP 5.

  The idea would be to change course every match in a order of courses so every club who play 11 match will play the same course the same number of time.
