Showdown match not completed but birdie

  Hi all,

   

  just played my first match and first three holes of showdown round 2. I did loose on the third hole by a birdie from my opponent and I had an outstanding birdie putt but the match was closed and the third hole was counted as a birdie ?! 

  looks like a bug or is this a feature?

  The showdown has always been like this , as soon as a player has won the match , it is deemed that the other person will hole their putt ,

    I have had that happen a few times, and i see it as sort of a make up for being given bogeys for 3 holes when searching for opponent times out.
