  Wk16 Pebble Beach - 66

  This was one frustrating round. Only green I missed was 17 but was still only 10 feet from the pin for an easy up and down.

  putts just would not drop, grazed the hole the whole way. Front 9 solitary birdie was at the 6th and even that was a two putt.

  Then at the 12th things started turning, birdies at 12, 13, 15, 16 and 18 made it respectable at least but oh what might have been!

  Pebble normally a struggle but with the lack of wind I really should have scored much better. New putter required lol.

  Hello friends,

  Lovely day at Pebble Beach, slow start, gave away a couple of strokes on the front for 33 going out. But the approach game came through along with the putter on the back. An eagle on 18 brought me in at 28. Solid 61 round.

  60 for me at Pebble Beach this week.  Could have been a little better, could have been a little worse.  A string of pars from #8 to #12 killed my early momentum but managed to scrounge back after that.

  I don’t think my original score posting made it to the board. 

  WK16 - PB shot at 67.  Don’t remember the details but definitely a good round for me.

  I made the turn at -5 and finished @ -12(60) using/WGT G13-D Ball 

  My highlight shot was a birdie out of the front bunker on the17th. A bogey free card.

  Each week I come here to post my score I mutter something dark about the B9 curse, which may be a tad hyperbolic but it does at least reflect that I frequently let good rounds slip away after an excellent start.

  So it was this week as I was -9 at the turn on Pebble Beach, but could only muster another 4 birds on the way home. Now a 59 is by no means a bad score and I'd certainly have taken it if offered on the 1st tee, but oh, what might have been....
