DEAD ON IN THE CUP! If anything the flag would have sunk the ball dead.

    Ripped OOOOOOFF.

In this case pulling the pin probably wouldn't have helped. And No he was not ripped off. The ball went into the hole on the fly and bounced out. It happens on here and in real life. My one and only hole -in-one in real life went into the hole on the fly and stayed in the hole. About a week or 2 later my boss did the same thing and his ball bounced out, You never know what will happen when a ball hits the hard plastic or metal of the cup on the fly. I also had a friend say he had a ball go into the hole on the fly bounce out and roll off of the green into a bunker, His hole-in-one became a double bogey,

I think Joe could be right, if you're lucky and quick on pausing the replay several times you can catch the ball flight as it fast approaches the pin, see/hear it enter the hole rattle inside for a brief split second then see/hear it bounce out catching the back of the pin on it's way. ( WGT's way )

    Hope this helps.
