SEL 59 v Wgt Amigos 30
Welcome to the thread for the 2nd memorial inter cc match between SEL and Wgt Amigos in honour of the larger than life Brian "Shovlovin" Shovlin. I'm sure that everyone who came into contact with Brian will agree he was a true character with a great sense of humour. Never one to mince his words he always said it like it was and had a great love for the word Twat, so much so this carried over into the naming of his World Cup squads. I always enjoyed dealing with and playing with Brian and it's a great honour to be involved in getting this memorial together with our friends at the Amigos. A massive thank you to Vivian for all of your help in pulling this together and ironing out the crinkles over the past weeks.
In our last encounter I think everyone got so drunk nobody remembered the score, it's what Brian would have wanted and I expect nothing less in this one. I've tried to do my best matching the pairs up taking into account tiers, averages and locations but it's never easy, hopefully everyone is happy and please don't lose sight of why we're doing this. To have some fun and laughs with old friends, maybe a couple of pints (in my case) and pay our respects to Shov on his favourite course.
The rules are as follows;
1. 9 Hole matchplay - St Andrews front 9
2. Due date is midnight 31st August GMT

This match is handicapped by the way of air shots which will be given
on holes 5 and 7. The number of air shots to be conceded is indicated
next to the match up
4. Please friend request your opponent as soon as possible
5. Please arrange your matches for a set time and date, tentative arrangements do not work
6. Please communicate any match problems to myself or Vivian as soon as possible
7. Please post your match results in here so I can keep everything updated
8. Points will be scored as follows;
Win - 3 pts
Win after extra holes - 2pts
Loss after extra holes - 1pt
Loss - 0pts
