any idea why I keep getting a missing item ID error in head to head games?
or how to get rid of it.

I've encountered the same error multiple times. I just press 'cancel' instead of 'retry', as no matter how many times I retry, I cannot get rid of the same error.
Cancel seems to delay the popping up of the error until the next time I tee off.
