I tried it on Firefox also Ed. It works there for me too. I just have always preferred the Maxthon browser. Guess I spoke too soon, as usual.

I quit using Maxthon when even though I had it set not to update from Maxthon 3 it kept updating to Maxthon 5 which I hated.

I'm using Maxthon 4.4. It has never updated so far. I just like it for playing WGT. It has always worked well for me as far as not having any meter or in game issues. I guess at some point I may have to change as things progress and the browser falls behind. But I'm gonna stick with it as long as I can.

    ScottHope:
And now WGT has made it even more confusing by changing something that is causing some attributes to be stripped out of the HTML when our messages are posted.

    Oh yes, with bells on.

You helped me earlier Scott by suggesting I use <div> instead of <p> for HTML editing, so thanks for that because it resolved some issues.

But whatever changes that WGT made in the last update, be it deliberate or inadvertent they're still causing me headaches for my club forum posts. It's partially a problem of my own making for wanting to put a bunch of bells and whistles in there, but I'm still hoping WGT fix it with the next update.

Here's what I can't seem to do at present:

    • Center an image that is less than full-size (450px)
    • Change the colour of a section of text within a paragraph. (I use this to highlight player names to show which club team they belong to, for example.)

This is all minor in the overall scheme of things of course, but I have put a lot of work into creating templates for tournament results and so on, and now I have to rewrite them and I'm just immature enough for this to p!ss me off, lol.

    Nigel.

WGT are able to test the patience of many a patient person Nigel, believe me.  ; )

To centre an image now you'll have to put the image element inside a div element and set the text align property of that div element to centre...

    <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="my_picture_url"></div>

...and to change the colour of a section of text within a paragraph you'll have to change the paragraph tags <p> to div tags <div> because you can't put a div element inside a paragraph element, that's not WGT's doing, that's in the HTML specifications. Anyway, to change the colour of some of the text within your paragraph (which is now a div element), surround the text to be coloured with div tags and apply the colour you want and also set the display property to inline...

<div>My big paragraph starts here <div style="display:inline;color:red;">Your coloured text here...</div> and my big paragraph ends here.</div>

Hope that works for you Nigel.  ; )

I shall happily test it out. But whether it works or not I thank you once again for taking the time to mop my fevered brow and provide assistance Scott.

Come on my friend - if you are playing a 1 hole round what difference does the browser make????

It doesn't on a single hole Ed. I was referring to the game in general.
