  No, not a WGT ace, a real one. Four days before my 75th birthday, I finally got my first hole in one today. Sixth hole, Newport Beach Golf Course, 7 iron. Bit of an uphill green so I didn't see it land in the cup, but the yelling from the guys on the adjacent 7th tee told the story: Hit the green, one hop, hit the bottom of the flagstick and settled in. Been close but no cigar a number of times, Helluva day!

  Thanks, and here's the best part. My three "witnesses" were all part of the golf team at Mater Dei High School, and thus too young for legal adult beverages. And I got out fast before word spread to the bar.
