i have now recently started a new club "_BAD_BOYS_" and the greatest pleasure i get is when some of my suggestions/advise help a new player get better

are there any other players with some tricks or tips?

this is something i learn from another player much better than myself

    green speed calculations

    13 - dist x 0.69

    12 - dist x 0.76

    11 - dist x  0.83

    10 - dist x  0.95

    9 - dist x 1.00

    7.9 - dist x 1.05

    7.4 - dist x  1.20

dist = feet to pin +/- elevation

    ---------------------------------------

"grain of grass" - slope up or down to pin - you could have 0 elevation but still have the "grain of grass" running either towards you or towards the pin

to put a straight line with no breaks and no elevation and the grain of grass is dead

you will putt the exact length from ball to pin

but now you have a putt to make with veriables - there are 4 things you have to consider

    1. feet to pin

2.elevation "when it is in feet and not inches adjust as explained below"

3.grain of grass direction "adjust when it gets too fast"

    4.green speed

    --------------------------------------------------

this will not work for the players that ding their putts - as i missding all my putts but the following works for me

    -----------------------------------------------------

    lets try one

    1. 20ft to pin

    2. 3 inches up

    3. grain of grass running towards you

    4. 12 " tournament green speed

    = 20+3+2 x 0,76 = 19 feet

     ----------------------------------------

    another one

    1.20ft

    2. 3inches down

    3. grain of grass running towards pin

    4. 12 "tournament green speed

    = 20-3+0 x 0.76 = 12.92 (13feet)

    ----------------------------------------------

when the grain of grass is running towards you very fast or you have to climb a bump on the green add 5 feet to total dist (feet to pin plus/minus elevation)

when grain of grass is running towards the pin very fast subract 0,2 - 2.0 feet from total distance

    ------------------------------------------

now when the elevation is in feet and not inches ie:

    1. 20 ft

    2. 4 feet up

    3. grain towards you

    4. 12.speed green

    = 20 + 4 = 24 + 50% = 36 +2 x 0.76 = 29 feet

when it is 4 feet down

    1. 20 ft

    2. 4 feet down

    3. grain towards pin

    4. 12 speed green

    = 20 + 4 = 24 - 50% = 12 +0 x 0.76 = 9 feet

    ----------------------------------------------------------

you will have to adjust more or less when the breaks/elevation becomes severe

    fyi

firstly you should drop your hybrid asap and rather carry 3x wedges

get the longest hitting driver you can get at your lvl

best starter equipment is their putter so change that last

a very good buy is the lvl 52 MAX wedges - 60/75/90 yrds - im using them currently untill i can upgrade to the max lvl callaways

a great putter is the MAX control putter with increments of 10/20/30/40/60/80/100/200 --  " very precise" im currently using this putter that becomes available as soon as you become a master tier

a great value for money BALL i use the callaway lvl 33 "250 credits" with dist of 3 and 3 spin and 2,5 duration

    fyi ,

go to BPB as stroke play then set as practise - low winds

    back 9

practise, practise, practise - ALL clubs - ALL shots -- AND KEEP NOTES!!

    fyi

Yep, got a tip.  Don't use this information, as you will not end up anywhere near the hole.  Also not about to quote the whole of above.

These large feet up and down are mainly from Wolf Creek.  Hit that 20 with a 4 foot up at 29 and more then likely you will end up with a longer next putt(depends on how close to the 4 foot hump you are.

    Convert the feet to inches.

now when the elevation is in feet and not inches ie:

    1. 20 ft

    2. 4 feet up

    3. grain towards you

    4. 12.speed green

    = 20 + 4 = 24 + 50% = 36 +2 x 0.76 = 29 feet   This should be closer to around 60+ feet.  51-52 using your calculations

when it is 4 feet down

    1. 20 ft

    2. 4 feet down

    3. grain towards pin

    4. 12 speed green

= 20 + 4 = 24 - 50% = 12 +0 x 0.76 = 9 feet  You will end up way past the hole on this one, if missed.  Probably be too hard to go in anyway,  this is gonna be barely tapped.

I just have to ask you this question: on which hole of which course do you get a 4ft elevation on the greens? No offense in anyway, I just cannot remember whichever hole that is that extreme.

Not sure if you are asking the OP or me.  Go play wolf creek, a number of the greens have these large up and downs.
