Do not turn the superior eye of critical passivity upon these efforts …. We must not be ambitious. We cannot aspire to masterpieces. We may content ourselves with a joy ride in a paint-box..

This is no time for boasts or glowing prophecies, but there is this—a year ago our position looked forlorn, and well nigh desperate, to all eyes but our own. Today we may say aloud before an awe-struck world, ‘We are still masters of our fate. We still are captain of our souls.'”

‘A single glass of champagne imparts a feeling of exhilaration. The nerves are braced, the imagination is agreeably stirred, the wits become more nimble. A bottle produces a contrary effect. Excess causes a comatose insensibility. So it is with golf , and the quality of both is best discovered by sipping..

A couple years ago . The last I counted . There were some 27 courses . Some not playable for the full 18 . Yet . Nonetheless . It is very difficult to get the permissions , the rights , the photographs , the preparations , and the money to offer full courses .

I would think that with 27 courses . Some partials . And those are probably next in line for full access . That is more courses than anyone could to play thoroughly . And learn . And then get bored .

Likely money constraints are the biggest factor slowing the process .

If there has been a spending budget for anything . Then it is obvious they put it all into a format for PC that can cross platform play with mobile .For some reason . There was a appeared to be a small consorted outcry for " cross platform play "

It wasn't a big obvious concern for players . Mentioned here and there in the Forums .

For some reason WGT decided that was what was worthy of their current investments moving forward . Go figure .

The plea for more courses has been a steady continual one since the day yhey opened . I really think the costs of the full courses and expanding the partials . To the extent and quality that they do . Is much more expensive and constricting to their budget .

Basically should be happy with what is already offered .

Here is a post from 2010 . There has been major expansion since then .

Guys this has probably been covered more than once in the Forums but I can`t find anything on it.........

Anybody out there know the actually Monetary cost that WGT have to pay to create a new golf course?

I know there is a hell of a lot that goes into it from Day 1 in setting up the cameras and drones but is there a specific Price to create a brand new course from A - Z ?

    Just wondering,

    Cheers in advance

    Chris
