    Hello all. I am Level 70 and looking for some new irons to purchase. What are the best irons in terms of overall performance, price not an obstacle. Thanks

    You need to look at the ones available and decide for yourself.  They have different values for different attributes like price, precision, distance, forgiveness, meter, etc.  Determine what is more important for you.  For me, meter was very important, so that was my top priority.

    I suggest looking at ScottHope's Pro Shop Equipment Tables - you can see everything in the Pro Shop and sort them by attributes.  Look at higher levels too - there may be the right set available at the next level or two.  Plan ahead.

    True, Larry!

    One thing to remember is, take some with High Trajectory!

    The first are the Ping G25 @L58, and there may be some more till L70.

    Hi

    If you can wait for some more time.. this is a very good choice.

    For example, Ben Hogans at Level 75 offer better distance, forgiveness, spin, and meter than the L69 Pings.

    Imho,if you can wait till level 84 the callaway apex are a solid choice. They have amuch better meter and slighly more forgiveness,all the other numbers are the same except the distance of the pw; not sure if this affects all other irons or just the pw. I play the rogues which these irons replaced the numbers are identical and i love them. GL,hope this helps.

    +1 on waiting for the Callaway Apex. Just a slight clarification: they're Level 85 clubs and not Level 84 as stated above.

    I'd say the L 75+ are a good stopgap, Hell they're still doing an effective job for this Tour Champ

    @Kenher01

    While you took the time to blot out some letters of the name, you realize the country club the player is in can be easily read, yes?

    Yes - but I don't think there is a concern if one is not bad-mouthing a player - and Kenher01 is not.  He is paying quite a compliment!

    So I compliment you, Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893
