    Goodness that can be

Living a good life does not require that you fight your way into a position of dominance. It’s more a matter of care and competence.

Be prepared for what could happen. Be realistic about what does happen.

Be flexible with how you respond. Be appreciative for what you have and for all you can do.

Nothing is as good as it seems because any advantage you gain will not last forever. Nothing is as bad as it seems because you can always find ways to make things better.

Let go of the need to prove you’re right and you’ll free yourself to discover higher levels of truth. Admit what you cannot do and you’ll magnify the value of what you can do.

Turn away from those thoughts and perceptions that fill you with anxiety. Focus instead on the goodness that can be, and go forward with quiet courage to bring it to life.

    Limitless potential

What can you do to solve the problems of the world? You can start by being at peace with yourself.

How can you make a difference in the overall scheme of things? You can offer a little kindness to the person next to you.

Where will you find the answers to the biggest of questions? By paying close attention in the smallest of moments.

Is there any way to be confident and optimistic about the future? Do your best to live fully the opportunity of right now.

Today you find yourself connected to everything that is. Let that be enough, and let it inspire you to follow your highest possible purpose in every choice.

Realize the limitless potential of what you already have. With awe, with appreciation, with love, live accordingly.

    The bad stuff

Don’t let all the bad stuff get to you. Let all the bad stuff amuse you, inspire you, teach you, and empower you.

Achievement is built on inconvenience. Achievement is built on interruptions.

Achievement is built on disappointment. Achievement is built on frustrations, problems, distractions, mistakes.

The moment to moment results you get are important. Yet who you are, and the attitude you possess, that’s much more important in the long run.

When your efforts fail to bear fruit, that’s not the end of the world. On the contrary, it’s another step toward your eventual success.

Rather than judging or blaming or complaining, persist in finding a way to do what you’ve chosen to do. See everything that happens for what it is, an opportunity to move forward.

    Let confidence take over

Doubt and fear have ruled you for too long. Now is the time to let your confidence take over.

Confidence is no less real, no less reasonable than doubt. And confidence will take you to much better places.

You deserve more respect than you’ve been giving yourself. You deserve more challenge, and its accompanying achievement, than you’ve been allowing into your life.

Get yourself now in a frame of mind where you can do all the best things you’re capable of doing. Activate the confidence that’s always been there, and let it drive away every remnant of indecision.

Let confidence take over, then make absolutely certain to give that confidence its full due. With purpose, with persistence and enthusiasm, put your confidence into action.

Unleash the full power of your loving, creative potential. Let your confidence take over, and give to life today the best you can give.

    Original thought

If you seek original thoughts, empty yourself of yourself. Push your awareness out beyond the confines of your mind and your ego.

All the thoughts you hold have already been considered. Let them go, and make room for what no one has ever thought before.

Mix together what does not belong together but somehow fits. Create a connection that has never been made yet is completely obvious.

Doing so is not easy, and therein lies its great value. Yet neither is it out of reach, for you are skilled at connecting what’s never been connected.

Go beyond existing thoughts into the stillness of acceptance and curiosity. There you will know how all is one, how any connection is possible.

Ask yourself, expect yourself to do all this. And you will.

    Ten percent more thankful

Gratitude expands its own territory. Be thankful, and you’ll create more reasons to be thankful.

Focus your attention on some small, simple object. Take a moment to consider the many levels at which you can appreciate its presence in your life.

Be thankful for what you have and you make it more useful. Be thankful for every experience and your experience becomes a continuing source of great value.

With gratitude, you transform defeat into victory. You rise above petty squabbles, let go of debilitating excuses, and achieve.

What would it take for you to be just ten percent more thankful for this moment? Imagine the positive impact that would have on your results.

Gratitude is a choice you can make that’s independent of every other factor. And the more gratitude you have, the more power you have to transcend all those other factors.

    Active role

Goodness can be a euphoric experience, but it is not a random occurrence. Goodness arises from intention.

To the extent your life is good and fulfilling, it is because you and others set out to make it so. Spontaneous fulfillment is simply not going to happen.

Indeed, the days and hours will drag you down unless you specifically step forward and pull yourself up. Fortunately, you’re highly capable of doing so.

Keep reminding yourself that it won’t happen automatically. Continue utilizing every opportunity to make goodness happen.

By all means expect the best, hope for the best. Then clearly define what that means, set an intention, and act on it.

Life can be filled with goodness provided you’re intent on taking an active role. Make the commitment to make it happen, now and always.

    Positive use of regrets

You can’t eliminate regrets for mistakes you’ve made in the past. However, you can make positive use of those regrets.

You can learn much from your regrets. You can harness their power to keep you focused and disciplined as you move forward.

Regrets exude great quantities of negative energy. You have the opportunity to point that energy in positive, productive directions.

You made a mistake last time. Let your regrets constantly remind you to do much better next time.

You are allowed to learn from your mistakes. Position your regrets where they will encourage you into vastly improved performance.

Regrets present you with compelling truths that are impossible to deny or ignore. Utilize those truths to create new achievement and fulfillment.

    Good to be you

You are a unique and valuable part of life. Let that value come to the surface and do its good work.

You’re hard on yourself, demanding of yourself, and in many ways that compels you to improve. But don’t be so critical that you destroy your confidence or discourage yourself.

You have good work to do, useful insights to express. You have thoughts and feelings that can be of great benefit to yourself and others.

So let your essence flow out to the world. Allow your unique gifts to add new richness to life.

Your own special truth won’t always be welcomed with open arms, but so what? It’s far better to embrace and to own who you are than to hide it.

It’s good to be you. Let the world in on the best of that goodness.

    Embrace responsibility

When it seems you’re always disappointed with everyone else, look in the mirror. The person you’re really disappointed with, is you.

When you’re frustrated with everything that happens, stop and look within. It’s not the external things that frustrate you, it’s you.

That’s a difficult truth to accept. It is also a powerful truth to know.

Because you have great influence and control over yourself. And by exercising that control, you can make things a whole lot better.

It’s pretty much impossible to change the whole world to meet your needs, or even a single other person for that matter. Yet you can absolutely improve yourself, and that can change the trajectory of your whole life.

If it’s something you care about, it’s something you’re responsible for. Embrace that responsibility, act on it, and the whole world becomes a better place.
