I think it would be a good idea if players could bet against each other. All players agree to a set amount of credits at the beginning of the game. Winner takes all.

    Read this from the FAQ's:

    Taken from phred's link above:

"Match Play Challenges are not gambling".

I'm sorry WGT but you really should re-evaluate your concept of the English language.

To continue from WGT's statement: "They are skill-based games you play against other players."  In the States, where gambling used to be illegal, skill based games with some kind of pay out were allowed. Seems pretty clear to someone who uses American English, but then we haven't spoken real English in years according to that great Irishman, GBS.

Now ain't that the truth Hack. A very wise man was GBS.

Being a staunch proponent of the English language I'm pained at times by the poor use of English by English people but 'Americanese' I accept. Or have to, up to a point.

The question of skill has no cognizance in the definition of the word gamble or gambling, it is purely the act of risk or chance with no prior definitive outcome. It could be money, property or simply the act of setting up a business. Or maybe even building a 3.5 billion brick wall! I'm sure a million or more homes for the homeless would serve better use of such a fortune.

To return to where you say "gambling used to be illegal".....Hack,

I'm quite a fan of Cops, Cops Reloaded, Police Women Of Dallas, SPCA Houston etc and a couple of times I've seen the police rousting participants in a craps game or pitch and toss maybe and now I wonder if the law has changed since the making of these documentaries, as Officer Tracey Jones made it abundantly clear to all concerned it was a big no no. That girl sure doesn't hang back.

Most states now are involved in gambling. Some have casinos but 44 have lotteries or are a part of multi-state combines like Powerball. This is not to say that they don't have laws making various forms of gambling illegal, but they are certainly hypocritical. My guess is that taking a rake from the gambling industry outweighed any moral code that said gambling was bad.

Thank you a lot for the information. Gambling requires emotional stability and a strong character. I saw many cases when people won large amounts of money in gambling and lost within 2 days, the option that you presented is a goo one, but, in general, for me poker is much interesting. Fortunately, they placed larger amounts and lost everything. Therefore, emotional stability and clear logic is a mandatory feature for professional players. I don't play poker at the moment, I opened my own business and I don't have much time. But I still play from time to time on https://slotsmegacasino.com/en-au/new-casinos.
