WGTChampion:
We also opened the Tour Champion tier. A new tier achievable with
ranked rounds and a low average. This is different than we originally
detailed the tier years ago. It is no longer an invite-only tier.
_CHAMPION
which means that it is now the same as the other tiers . with an average requirement . and a minimum # of rounds to saturate . followed likely by a new minimal average and a new saturation # .
on page 1 is a chart with the requirements for all tiers below Tour Champion
It is pretty simple . Every tier has an average requirement , and then a saturation level . When both those are accomplished . The next goal is the average required for the next tier . Then its saturation level . Then the next tiers average requirement . and so on . All the way through .
Once a tier is reached . The results of the first official round played at that tier will determine the new personal average for yourself in that tier .ALWAYS IN EVERY TIER .
Ones average will always rise to some degree ( above the average that you met to enter that tier ) .
And until saturation is reached . Will continue to rise with any scores above ones current average .And will go down with scores below your average .
That is why one can look at a CC . Look at the Tour Champions . And see many with varying averages above 55 . ( 55 evidently the average requirement to reach Tour Champion ) . It is almost impossible to maintain the average required immediately following tiering up .
Let me also remind that as has always been practiced . WGT has the right to promote or demote arbitrarily . Or make any decisions on any issue . Without an explanation . So put away your calculators . Lol jk not .
