Here is mine. I usually play the 'Legends' course, but both are brutal and fun. Bring a sling because your a$ will need it by the 18th........

    LIONHEAD

LINK to flyover of 1st hole. (It's quicktime so I can't embed it.......)

I play out of Valencia CC, the site of Tiger's very first playoff loss and host to many following senior tour events, all of which have moved on. But it is a spectacular test of golf which Gary McCord said was in the best shape of any he had seen with greens to die for...he would know. It is a Gem.

I'd heard Gary McCord would deliberately miss greens then chip and single putt so that he would win the putting stats.  So, based on him having fewer putts than anyone else, how would he know how good the greens were?

    Just sayin'.

The course I consider my "home" course is Birdwood, at the University: http://www.boarsheadinn.com/Golf/About-Birdwood/Course-Overview.asp Was a member there when a student. Don't live there anymore, or even close to golf really, but can still work my way around the course in my mind. Not as well-known as Yale or Stanford or a few others, but a glorious collegiate course nonetheless.

I think because of his many years on both tours and many years covering events all over the map would qualify him to make a statement at this level of judgement.

Most of the time it seems that way.
