  Played in a group today which included a gal who joined WGT in 2007! Didn't think it started before 2008. Anyways, I asked her what courses were available to play then, thinking her response would be just Kiawah, and I was surprised when she said that along with Kiawah was Blackthorn, which she said was dreadful and was removed after a while. Apparently there were only about 100 members when she joined up, not sure how she knew that but she was a nice lassie. 😪 ☕

  if you hover your cursor over the persons name in their CC listing you can see what # of WGT membership that person has in the lower left corner of the screen

  for example mine is 723525  .... there is a member in my club who has a # of 49616 with a December 2007 join date

  not sure how you see that WGT membership # if they do not belong to a club

  One ways is this

  Look up the player, right click on the name, click on inspect element.  The third line showing will tell you the member ID.

  Scott's is 4859904.

  Mine is 661402 , been here since Jul 09

   

  Tibbets is one of the early members here, his is 106187 from Jan 08

  From early viewing of the forums, I can remember some of the older players.

  One that we know as a different name now is WGTicon.  Played as Iconian ID 80340

  Those that don't show up when searching name, if you can find a way to get to the profile of the player, right click the page, click on view source.  It takes some doing, but by scrolling down you can find the user ID.

  39,034 here. Yes, the game was unbelievably limited back then.

  I have poked around in the numbers below 40,000, and the results are odd.

  There are some closely below that no. from May 2007. Further down, from around 39,050, the number show more than 8,000 users, probably all from June 2007. But, 8/07 and 9/07 are in the area, too.

  WGTalex (30,557) and WGTadmin (30,558) have been added later, they joined 2008, apparently.

  From there, it's not far down to the lowest number, albeit from 2010.
  For the sake of their privacy, I won't unveil how I found them.

   

  So, for now, May 2007 seems to be the earliest date.

  Mine is 168,261, joined in March 2008...

  The only course I remember in 2008 was 9 holes of Bali Hai....
