Actually I think you are asking for the size or fan space.  It was an existing water cooler I had on this cyberpower build with a asus MB and intel 2600k Cpu.   It's a Asetek 510lc 120mm cooler, it's enclosed, so no maintence It is a single rad. mounted on the back of the case but I have is set up with 2 120mm fans, one pushing and the other pulling.  My case is an Inwin dragon rider atx case.  It has bottom mounted PSU, 240mm side mounted fan(intake), and 2 upper 120mm fans(exhauset), also 1 120mm front mounted fan(intake).

CPU runs at about 26-27 degrees C at idle with just the desktop showing.  System runs about 32C.

Also not doing any overclocking.  Running the stock 2.8G on the CPU.  That cooler was on a CPU(I7-2600k) running a 10% overclock.

Trying to remember the I7 was I think a 4th generation and the I5 is an 8th.  The 8400 was at the top of the line for gaming(at the time)for what I wanted to spend on a CPU, it also did not come with a air cooler.

PCPartsPicker let me ensure all these parts were compatible.

Just timed mine 9.5 seconds from switch on to usable computer, mine goes to windows picture page.

Dang, mine takes twice that! (18.5sec). Wonder if the old HDDs are slowing me down?

Usually i build future proof systems Scott. I am not a person that updates every couple of years. To tell you the truth, even now, and based on what am i doing, my 975 extreme cpu is more than enough to pull through everything i ask. In addition with a good card like 570 and a stable OS like win7, i have what i want. Since in PC world, i am a firm believer of the motto: If it's working, ain't fix it, i am quite happy all these years and i have dealt with so few problems (mostly thermal problems).

    But i think, it's a good time to move along...hope i won't regret it...LOL

I would still be running my gtx570 if it didn't start having problems.  As a test I ran it far too long in my little machine running 7 as sort of a test.  It still works, but causes lockups after a fashion.  Thought it might of been thermal, redid paste on it, still locks up after a fashion.  Been happy with the gt1030 I threw in the little one.

Still undecided if I want to send it out for repair.

I know, my comment was in regards of time to move along.  That gtx570 has been in many of my computers and motherboards.  I kept trying to use it as long as possible before changing to something different.  This computer I am on right now is a emachines bought at Walmart probably back in 2004 or 5.  It still runs an OEM version of 7, ran onboard graphics and lan, all has been changed as things broke(now running cards for both)(lan was changed to a card, as onboard was only 100meg, my internet now is faster then that, so 1gig card installed).  My gaming computer on the other hand has been updated with different things as it became necessary to be able to play newer games.  What started out as a cyberpower build with an I7 and the gtx570 running their OEM 7 an asus mb, has morphed into a home built win10 machine running a msi mb and gtx1060.  The 1060 was in the first machine for newer games, until the mb went bad.  If they still used AGP I would be all set, as I have a few pretty powerful gpu's in that format.
