Basically you compete against other players who have joined in a ladder system, the rules of which can be found at http://www.wgt.agls.org.uk/forums/lad_rules.php - These rules are "Work in Progress" but the foundations are there.

Beating someone in a ladder match lower ranked than yourselves won't get you moved up the ladder. Basically to get anywhere you need to beat someone ranked higher than you.

Currently there is only 1 ladder, WGTLS 9 which will be added to as needed eg an 18 hole ladder.

Also it is my intention to add Tournaments etc once we have enough players.

In another ladder site I successfully ran several Ryder Cup Tournaments so again that will be my aim for WGTLS.

The correct website address is http://www.wgt.agls.org.uk

Though it's technically not a tournament, you'd probably get better exposure (and hopefully more sign ups) for this if you post about it in the "Community Organized Tournaments" section of the forums.

Good luck with it, and hopefully you'll get a very busy and active ladder ranking going.

Also, the link in the first post doesn't work for me (though the rules link works fine, and I can browse the website fine once I'm in).

To bring this up to date ...

There are now 2 ladders now operating at WGTLS (www.wgt.agls.org.uk). A 9 hole and 18 hole plus a Games Arcade.

This leaves only the Tournaments section to work out if and when we get enough members.
