I don't usually find myself supporting America or Americans in almost all sports, but Phil Mickelson is just one likable dude.

Also the Phoenix Open is worth the late nights to watch when you operating on CAT time. The crowds are amazing and it's set in an arena type environment flush bang in the middle of the desert.

The 16th is entertaining and has become a bit of a silly giggles hole, with caddies and players coming up with all sorts of hooliganism to entertain themselves and the crowds. The caddie race from tee to green seemed to be a hit, and very funny to watch.

That 60 Phil shot on the first day was nothing short of masterful, and I found myself blowing the tv screen, willing that birdie putt on 18 to go in, just to prove to the naysayers on here that a 59 in real life is actually possible.

Snedeker put up a great fight, but in the end Phil was too good, just proving that when this tournament is played each year, it is his to lose rather than 69 other players tournament to win.

A record tying -28 made me and I'm sure him think back on that birdie putt that came oh-so close to breaking two records this tournament.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this one, and congrats to Phil.

David Duval made news earlier this year when he was snubbed by sponsors who failed to make an exemption for the golfer at the Humana Challenge, formerly the Bob Hope Classic. Duval delivered a signature moment in the tournament’s history in 1999, when he eagled the 18th hole to shoot a final round 59 on the PGA West Palmer Course and beat Steve Pate by one shot.
