Women's British Open 2012, Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake - final leaderboard

    • -9: J Shin (Kor)
    • Par: I Park (Kor)
    • +1: P Creamer (US)
    • +2: M Miyazatyo (Jpn)
    • Selected others: +3: K Webb (Aus); +7: C Matthew (Sco); +8 C Kerr (US), M Wie (US)

South Korea's Shin Jiyai strolled to her second Women's British Open title, winning by nine shots at Hoylake.

Shin began the day with a five-shot lead, but two rounds had to be played on Sunday after high winds on Friday.

The former world number one saw her advantage cut to three by Australian Karrie Webb in the third round.

But, as Webb capitulated, a one-over-par round of 73 was enough for Shin to take victory ahead of compatriot Inbee Park, who finished on level par.

Shin's victory on the marathon 36-hole final day completed a landmark year for women's golf, one in which all four majors were won by players from Asia.
