    CerinoDevoti:
I'm looking forward to watching the Pro's play Congressional this weekend and comparing it to how it looks here.

I did during the actual Open and it was very real. I was watching on the US Open site and kept looking up to the right for the yardage on each shot. Very accurate.

I think they wanted to have as many rounds as possible played on Congressional this weekend while the Pro's are playing it as well.

    lmao!

    But I hear ya.

I have no thoughts of winning, but love the jitters of a one shot deal.

I live and die on each RG shot I make...UL's...not for me.

Yep in agreement on this matter...big let down seeing it as an unlimited grinder. Would be interesting to see the stats for balls used with a tourney being unlimited vs SP.

Looking at the course conditions and the current lead score (55 for the legend tier), I can't imagine that many people would now even contemplate starting a round let alone want to grind through to try to win the event. Probably only 20-30 people are capable of hitting a 54/55 from the back tees with heavy winds and champ greens at Congo. Surely common sense therefore says that having it as a SP event would actually increase participation levels?

Well, that tournament was interesting.  We'll have to

see how the winning scores end up.  Maybe it was just

me playing badly but it seemed to me like those

"Tournament" speed greens were awfully slow.

No excuses though.  I just don't play that course

very well.  I need to study the Rory McIlroy tapes

again to see how he got to the low score in 2011.

completely agree on the single play status that should have been afforded to this tourney - grinding away at unlimiteds just doesnt cut it for me.

Agree with most above, I have limited play time so wont even bother with this.
