Tiger just played the first round of the Quail Hollow Championship and he shot a 74; pretty tough day for Tiger. I saw him miss quite a few puts. Could it be that he his not comfortable playing or maybe  is a bit rusty? I hope he comes back as before  and start winning tournaments. Good luck to Tiger Tomorrow and rest of the weekend.

Personally, I think putting is what Tiger is struggling at. At his best he is arguably the best putter in the world and right now he just isn't at that level quite yet. Another thing I've noticed is his confidence isn't what it used to be. When he is playing his best golf he is unstoppable and he knows it. He'll be back in no time ;)

He hit 4 of 14 fairways yesterday..... Might want to start there.   :)

Conditioning may be a factor as well.

Definitely the tee-box. Especially the par 3's. I wonder if Tiger will play the Players Championship on may 6th? This is a tournament Tiger can win.

May get flamed for this, but maybe it's in his pants...

Right now the weakest part of Tiger's game is the 5.5" between his ears.

+5 today through 14... just DB'd the 14th after finding the water.

First 5 holes of the back nine today ..... bogey, bogey, bogey, par, double bogey...

Tied for 139th. He will not make the cut.  This will be the first PGA cut he has missed in, what, 5 years?  (yes, I know he missed the British last year, but that's not PGA.)

And on 15 he drives the bunker.  Back-to-back double bogeys 14 / 15 ... Eldrick 3 putted from 3 feet away.  Wow... like watching a train-wreck.

    15th Hole

    Par 5

    566 yards

    • 1. 309yds to Fairway Bunker, 264yds to hole
    • 2. 198yds to Right Intermediate, 74yds to hole
    • 3. 66yds to Green, 33ft 1in to hole
    • 4. putt 36ft 3in, 3ft 6in to hole
    • 5. putt 6ft 4in, 2ft 6in to hole
    • 6. putt 2ft 9in, 2in to hole
    • 7. in the hole

On the other hand, Lefty is T2 after a -4 today...

Perhaps the worlds new number one player?

It seems that Tiger needs to return to the "swing" coaches that kept him happy. Anyone that goes through serious reversal of anything, pays an unknown price. Jon Daly plays best when drunk. Golf is a game of opposites.
