Gold says...Add the product of this multiplication (20.11) to 43.43, which gives 63.54. That is the final number by which you must move the flag sideways.

I can't move the flag 63.54 inches!  Is this number supposed to be 6.354 inches?  Or if not what does it represent?

It's how inches are represented on the screen, not actual inches. The same way a 20 ft putt represented on the screen isn't actually 20 ft.

I think in this method, each grid represents 30 inches, so you'd have to move the marker a little over 2 grids.

You know what real professionals tell amateurs? Most greens are 2 puttable. Get your first putt close enough to the hole to putt out. At Master level, if I 3 putt a green, it's rare (except with chamionship greens, but I don't practice on those anyway). I don't want to take out a stop watch and slide rule for any putt. I just enjoy the challenge and let it go at that. But if you are serious, go for it!
