Same thing happened to me.  I did not cancel.  It did it all by itself.

there are at least 30 separate forum posts about this topic. 2-3 new ones every month. Ive already answered one of these on monday or tuesday.

suggestion: pay attention to the forums more than just when you have a problem. could have been avoided.

Hi Ana. No, I was just sitting there waiting for it to find me an opponent. I didn't touch anything til it quit.

No, it couldn't have. As I stated, I was waiting for an opponent to be found and the search quit on its own. Nothing I would have read on the Forum would have mattered, because it wasn't caused by something I did or by playing up against the deadline - the 2nd round had just gotten underway.

Suggestion: try again and chill the attitude, or scroll on by.

    DanimalSports65:
Can someone at WGT tell me why, when I went to play my last 3 holes in R2 that the game said the round was over and gave me bogeys on the last 3 holes, when there's still almost 2 days left on the timer??????

    AnaNikolaj:
Did you possibly went to play the last three holes and when it took a while to find you an opponent, you aborted the search? Cause that'd cause what happened to you.

    Tabarnak777:
It's possible, just wanna say that if you abord the search then use the arrow on top-left screen to come back. DO NOT HIT CANCEL BUTTON.

    puma991:
That happened to me on the first three, cancelled the search for opponent and then got a bogey for all three holes.

    puma991:
Worse for me, on holes 7-9 the game froze with opponent on the tee, he and I chatted for a friggin hour waiting for it to unfreeze which it finally did and said I forfeited those three holes!  Six bogies in the first nine holes without swinging a club.

    Imahacker58:
It’s just crap programming by the amateur hour heroes running this game, just another reason to give it away.

    budliteman:

on my showdown it gave me bogeys on 12  13  14  i had no bogeys at all

    EZCupps:

This happened to me too!  I was three under, now I won’t make the cut.

A lot of different scenarios cause these forfeits . The only way to avoid them is to not play in the event .

I did decide to play . I wanted to complete 1 ShowDown . I had my ups and downs .

Had a couple opponents forfeit . The game allowed me to continue .

One guy forfeited on the 10th hole in the 3rd round . The game scored me with a par when it was a birdee . I had 2 straight birdees the 10th & 11th holes .

Then an impatient player would not wait through 2

    Until I finally got

Which only means that he quit so fast . That my slower computer could not keep up with the program . Even though I did nothing but sit there and watch . It gave me the forfeit . 3 damn bogeys for holes 13 , 14 , 15 in the 3rd round .

I doubt I will make the cut with 4 extra strokes added to my score .

I am just happy to have completed my first full ShowDown . I doubt I will play anymore of these .

well that's an internet connection problem. probably on your end. What is WGT supposed to program in?

it matches you up in a game. your connection sucks and somehow they are supposed to interpret your inability to play as involuntary.

what's your programming solution to that?

You jump to conclusions like you're on a pogo stick.

Not an internet connection problem on MY end. Wasn't an internet connection problem for the 5 matches played right before it either. I've got the bandwidth.

    Done yet?

Except for this and several hundred other comments on these various scenarios .

If you think you have seen it all . You haven't . Just keep playing . More unique errors are assured .

So you can no longer say that you " didn't see that coming " .

      Secondly .

Not necessarily . I have been paying attention to posts on that matter . And inquiring during the hundreds of rounds that I play .

There seems to be a consensus that even with the best and fastest and highest internet connections . At times there seems to be a hair trigger connection with the servers that very few are completely immune to .

So it is no wonder that the many that don't even know they have mediocre or even weak internet connections ( something they would change if they could ) . Will also experience these many different types of of hair trigger disconnects .

Which everyone knows is not new to PCEA . Was always an issue during the entire lifespan of WGT Flash .

    Mythanatos:

There is no way I or anyone else should cop to that one . As I mentioned above . Even the best connections are at times susceptible to the server rejections .

Which the responsibility for lays fully on the developers/hosts to solve and provide a playable program .

    Mythanatos:
what's your programming solution to that?

Not his , yours , mine , any ones job to find solutions to any of that . It is WGT's job . Period .

ah but it is a connection problem. Your device and the server stop communicating or at least communicating effectively enough to transmit the data that a game has started.

and yes there is a work around. but you seem to really think you know everything about this topic so  I'll let you figure it out. good luck.
