I have a diamond one.  Have zero recollection of it however,  honestly never even looked at my awards till I saw this post,  so I thought i'd take a look.  Apparently I once holed a 315.28 yrd shot.  Trying to think back and still cant remember it.  Oh well

Platinum for me too. 230-odd yards, which I can only assume was on #4 at CB since that's still the only DE I've ever had.

Congrats to Marchie and LightsOut for the diamond though....wow.

    Nigel.

Not even close but I'm very happy for the 3-footer I made at Oakmont #2:)

    WGTicon:

The award requires holing out an approach shot of at least 300.00 yards, which would take most of the holes out of equation.

If you have it and remember, please share a story :)

No 300, but I have holed 2x from plus 280.

The memorable one was on EH #15, short tees, I holed out from over 289 yards off the short tees.  The funny part is I thought it was a terrible shot when I hit it but it caught the green right and rolled straight into the hole.  Of course, that means if I I had hit the shot as I intended, it would not have gone in.  LOL.  So it goes.

(fn:  I have eagled PB #5 2x.  Both from the 198 yd back tees.  One was a perfect shot dropped in just above and left of hole and rolled back.  But the other was terrible ... I hit the rough between the right bunker and green, ball shot straight left and into the hole.  I have plenty of HIO's but the awful shot that went in was memorable.)

Hi Icon, nice to see you here!

Silver award here - 157 yds.

The number 300 makes me wonder how to achieve a hole-out from such distance?

The highest level 3WDs have average lengths of 240 / 250 yds - is it ever possible to shoot 300+ with one of these from the fairway?

If not, as I assume, it would only leave tee shots for this feat on Par4s with a drivable lengths.

Look out for Par4 Double Eagles which are HIOs!

Those may NOT apply? I don't know.. because if they did, then #3 and #6, #9 and #10 STA would come into play and I know all have been holed out.

You’d be correct as I only have a Platinum (235yds) Holed Approach but I have a HIO on Merion #10.
