The app is a great mobile device app for playing, but honestly,it just does not work on a non mobile pc, i don't pretend to have the answers but my suggesstion would be one of two things; either turn the app into a browser plugin that would allow users to use the web version or 2, redesign the app to reflect the look and feel of the flash web site.
I think if you took a satisfaction survey, you would see that you will lose around 5 to 15 % of you users when the web site gooes offline.
I know you are smart people because you made the best online golf game, period! so maybe rethink the approach of the app and I'm sure you can come up with something as brilliant as wgy.com.
