    Question: Will Steam become the official/exclusive launcher for WGT?

    I'm not sure why they'd bother putting it up there if it wasn't going to be the only option at some point.

    I cannot see them going strictly to Steam as it makes no sense to force people to use Steam when the Launcher is a simple download.
    The reason for adding WGT to Steam has a very simple answer, Potential NEW players = $$$. Steam has close to 100 Million registered users and on any given day has 15-20 Million people log in and play a game.

    Which is currently available on the Flash version. What happens when Flash goes away, how does WGT make the link available? They would have to depend on word of mouth or a search for a golf game. "Invite your friends" is what'll probably be the source of new biz.

    These forums are the same forums that the Launcher takes you to.  Flash is not required for these forum pages to work.  It's the game client that requires flash.  WGT has to change nothing for people to continue to download that app from WGT.com.  So no it is not currently available on the Flash version, there is no way at present to download the app from the game client, without coming to WGT.com

    Actually if you google WGT it will take you to the new sites for mobile and the PCEA as well . In fact it is now harder to access the flash version than the newer game versions and platforms .

    I seriously doubt the WGT website will go away. One doesn't need flash to view the website (or the download page).
